Physical Description: Short (4'11'') and scruffy, Pia is far from well-kept. Her hair is a dry, grey-ish blonde in colour and brittle with a short pixie-cut hairstyle. Big, bug-like eyes that are chocolate brown in colour, nearly black. Her eyes are often blood-shot with heavy bags beneath them. Pia is pale in complexion, almost sickly so, with a green-ish tinge around her eyes and lips. She has a flat, 'boyish' figure with little to no shape. She has several piercings (eyebrow, ears, cupid's bow, bottom lip, and nostril), all of them acquired when she was going through her 'young, rebellious teenager' phase, and all of them on the left-side of her face - giving her an unbalanced appearance. She has a lightly-coloured beauty mark beneath her right eye. Pia dresses in loose and baggy clothes that give her an unkempt appearance. Her hair is often unwashed and unbrushed and she usually looks like she's just rolled out of bed. She accessorizes with band t-shirts (most notably Oasis or Radiohead), large hoop earrings, and a thin necklace with a letter 'P' pendant.

Personality: Pia is loud, crude, and noisy. She's a fliratious and cheerful individual that almost never seems to be in a bad mood. However, she is childish and sarcastic, and often puts off her responsibilities. Though deemed unintelligent by many who meet her, Pia is not bothered by what others think of her. She is laid-back but lazy, thoughtful and sweet but easily taken advantage of. She is fearful of abandonment or being perceived as less-than by her peers. Pia has an incredibly addictive personality, and is addicted to a variety of narcotics, alcohol, and cigarettes.

Likes: Loud noises, dogs, cats, bothering Sabastian, being from the South, having a 'cool' accent, making cakes and pies, dreaming about opening a pastry shop, cars and motorcycles and mechanics, singing Ke$ha songs along to the radio, driving without a license (as hers has been suspended), children, cute animals, guitars, brandy, piano music, leather, combat boots, any kind of take-out, partying, the colour orange, bright shiny things, the American flag, considering herself a patriot, burping, sleeping in whenever she feels like it, seeing how many days she can go without showering.
Dislikes: Her addiction, getting withdrawal symptoms, when her mother ignores her, getting yelled at by Sabastian for dumb stuff, pretty girls in magazines, people thinking she's stupid just because she doesn't have school smarts, confusion, vegetables, vegans, preachy people, having nightmares, crying, when no one is home and she has to go to bed by herself, birds.

History: Pia was born in Charleston, South Carolina, to Joseph and Lisa MacKinnon. She has one older brother - Sebastian - who is ten years her senior. Pia has always been regarded as a burden by her mother: she lacked the talents and skills of her brother and didn’t have any of her own to make up for it. Despite this, Pia has always held Lisa in high regards and often strives to get her attention.

When she was six her family moved to Portland, and shortly after her father began to abuse her sexually. Because of this, Pia became a very angry, troublesome child. The abuse began to worsen when she turned eleven. At that point, Sebastian had moved out and it was just Pia, Lisa and Joseph living under the same roof, with her mother growing even more resentful of her, and her father’s visits to her room becoming more frequent.

At the age of fourteen, Pia ran away from home, seeking sanctuary with her brother. She moved in before starting high school, something that didn’t last too long with her. She was often bullied for her dirty and unhygienic appearance, ‘weird’ attitude, and poverty. At fifteen dropped out without saying a word and changed much of her appearance, eventually beginning her first relationship a few months later with a nineteen-year-old drug addict who introduced her to the world of narcotics. Pia quickly became addicted and started stealing from stores or her friends and family to support her drug habit. After a few short months, her boyfriend was arrested for possession and Pia didn’t see him again; instead she struck up a relationship with Corey Jules. Things were very blissful for a few short months, before turning suddenly sour and abusive. Pia’s drug use became more severe, and eventually the cause of a miscarriage when she was seventeen. After one more disastrous night, Pia left her things and ran back to her brother and she has been living with him ever since.

At nineteen Pia began dating Simon Akimoto, a Japanese immigrant. Though he was the first boyfriend she’d had to ever treat her well, it was very short-lived due to the fact that Simon came out as gay and consequently ended their relationship. He did, however, introduce her to a friend of his, Rita, and she and Pia seemed to hit things off considerably well. As things began to get more serious, though, Pia left Rita because she felt if she were to stay it would be as a burden to the Australian woman, who had enough on her plate already. Since then, Pia has forsworn dating and sticks simply to premeditated rendezvous’ or one night stands.

Current Status: She is currently twenty-four and lives in Portland with her brother Sebastian and their mutt dog Tipsy, has very little connection with her mother and father, and has successfully managed a job for two years now. Pia is still an addict, though she pretends otherwise.
